I have over 20 years experience as a writer and have an M.F.A. in creative writing. I have also served as an Instructor of Writing at Virginia Commonwealth University for 8 years. My work has appeared in numerous national and regional publications, and I've written two cookbooks with Ten Speed Press/Random House. I've got lots of experience speaking to groups, both large and small, and I've served as a panelist and moderator on a variety of subjects related to cooking, food trends, beverages, food writing, recipe creation and cookbooks. I've also given presentations related to home cooking, slow cooking, recipes as well as how to be a better food writer.
